Glass Flooring

Glass flooring is becoming one of the increasingly sought-after elements for domestic construction projects or refurbishment schemes. It is easy to understand why – Well designed glass flooring looks striking when used on stairs and on upper floors, not only providing a focal point for householders and visitors alike, but the right installation can also provide a luxurious and unique twist to a mezzanine floor, landing or upper level, providing visitors with a view to lower rooms, wine stores, art installations or similar and letting the light flow freely around the space like no other material.

It is important to discuss any projects that may require a glass floor with a supplier who has a wealth of experience in the design, manufacture and delivery of bespoke glass flooring to unique specifications. Safety, practicality, space and aesthetics all need to be considered carefully, so a walk on glass floor does not come without careful planning.

Installing Glass Floors

Here at Elysion we have provided bespoke glass solutions to many varied projects, providing our expert advice and support to architects, developers, construction companies and individual householders alike, helping to visualise and produce truly unique flooring for any number of locations.

Laminated glass flooring can either be supplied in the form of individual glass floor panels, or for larger areas, as a number of panels supported on a bespoke steel, timber or stainless steel frame, with appropriate edge trims, or even laminated glass beams. Our glass flooring can be treated so that it has a non-slip surface – this is usually by sandblasting for internal use, with a carbide grit fused into the top surface of the glass for a much more rugged surface texture suitable for external use. We are happy to provide glass flooring panels on a supply only basis to any part of the UK, or our expert installation team can be on hand to install them wherever required.

Steve did a top job with the stainless steel barrier. The work was so good that the boss, Ian, would like you to provide a quote for another other style barrier.

The staircase that you created is fantastic and perfectly in keeping with our barn. I would de?nitely recommend Elysion to anyone looking for a similar service, many thanks.

We think that you did a great job on the balustrade, thanks again.
