     Glass FloorsA glass floor provides a stunning and unusual alternative to the more traditional forms of flooring systems in almost any building. Glass is extremely versatile and new developments and techniques mean glass flooring systems can be utilised in all areas of most forms of building, from domestic to commercial, as well as outside. Well designed glass flooring systems look striking when used on stairs and on upper floors as they let the light flow freely around the space like no other material. At Elysion we will work with you to design your ideal laminated glass flooring system and use our expertise to design, manufacture and install it to your precise specification. Laminated glass flooring can either be supplied in the form of individual glass floor panels or for larger areas, as a number of panels supported on a bespoke steel or stainless steel frame, with appropriate edge trims, meaning that installation is a straightforward process. Our glass flooring can be specially treated so that it has a non-slip surface – this is usually by sandblasting for internal use, with a carbide grit fused into the top surface of the glass for a much more rugged surface texture suitable for external use. All structural glass floors are manufactured from toughened and laminated glass, specifically designed to comply with the requirements of BS 6399 Part 1.
