juliet balcony view from outsideJuliet Balconies

Juliet balconies continue to be an ever-popular choice for architects, developers and homeowners alike, looking to add vantage points to bedrooms, living areas or loft conversions, allowing fresh air in, increasing natural light, and giving interiors the feeling of having outside space without the need for any additional structure.

Juliet balconies are easily adaptable and can work with almost any property either modern or traditional, adding value to any home or development. At any level above ground floor, a balustrade or Juliet balcony is a Building Regulation requirement to provide the required safety barrier when any inward-opening doors are open, and as such you always need to get professional advice to ensure that any design proposed will both be safe and meet the required regulations.

At Elysion, although we specialise in bespoke glass Juliet balconies, we are more than happy to talk through all your options regarding Juliet balconies and use our expert knowledge to recommend the best designs and solutions to your needs.

Designing and Installing Juliet Balconies

Our glass Juliette balconies work particularly well with modern or contemporary builds and are normally paired with high-quality stainless steel fixtures and fittings, although powder coated items are also possible. Glass Juliet Balconies feature either specially toughened glass infill panels, or laminated and toughened glass for the frameless infinity look where no handrail is wanted. Our glass Juliette balconies can be finished using tinted or sandblasted glass depending on your requirements.

We work with a variety of suppliers and can work in many metals, including wrought iron, steel or stainless steel. Whichever material you opt for, Elysion will be able to finish it in your choice of colour or style, again, always in keeping with your property. In all cases the Juliet balcony is designed to safely carry the appropriate loadings, with calculations available for Building Control submission if required.

While Juliet balconies can be relatively simple to plan for and even to install, there is still a matter of practicality and regulatory compliance involved that will often negate the use of the cheaper off the shelf products, and often, to be fully effective, your solution will need to be researched and planned for. Elysion are more than happy to provide such support and expert advice, whether you are an architect, home owner, developer or contractor, to help create the exact look that you or your client is looking for. Using 2D and 3D CAD to visualise ideas and produce plans, we can offer advice and support to any balcony solutions you may have in mind, ensuring your project’s vision and aesthetic is retained throughout the process.

If you are in the process of considering or consulting on a Juliet balcony design or project and are looking for a team that can assist with design, manufacture and installation on any type of project, consider getting in contact with Elysion for support, advice and expertise on your project. Elysion have worked with hundreds of clients providing all manner and style of Juliet balconies for a host of reason, and can  be relied upon to provide dependable design and manufacturing support to any area of your project you may require.
